Dream Out Loud

I must admit, I have a wee little love for country music, and I actually may have, (once or twice) been known to drool (ever so slightly) when I hear the dulcet tones of Troy Cassar-Daley…

So as I was in the final stages of painting this latest commission, I was listening to Troy in the studio and the song Dream Out Loud came on.  Knowing my gorgeous client, I felt this would be the perfect title for the painting.  I’m so glad she loves it, commissions can be so frightening!

A little before shot for you, the early stages…

And, the painting complete.

I think I might make some miniature prints using portions of this painting, so stay tuned for more updates on that one!

Have a great week wherever you are,

X Me

Beautiful. It looks like the underlying layer in top right hand corner got softened up a lot…. how did you achieve this effect? Very nice!

This is a great new direction with your work. I don’t know if it’s because of the bold white areas but this one is very striking. Love it!
