I’ve been feeling very guilty this year about the lack of regular posts here on my blog. I could tell you that I’ve been so busy preparing for my first solo exhibition that my mind hasn’t had any room for thinking about blogging and it would be true. I could also say that being a single mum with two little peeps and broken sleep means I’m more often than not too tired to even consider blogging and I’d be bang on the money. I mean here’s a crazy example of the side effects… The other day I couldn’t even think of the word ‘sunscreen’! In my head I was talking myself through it…”I know it’s white and creamy and you put in on your skin to stop getting burnt – oh heck what is that stuff called???” I actually had to get up and go to the bathroom cabinet to see the name of it on the tube *duh* My sister in law reassures me that I dont have a brain tumor taking over my brain, but rather have lots on my plate. I’m going with what she says…
More to the point though, when I read other peoples’ blogs (regularly maintained I might add) about interesting and funny and thoughtful things, I just start to wonder what on earth am I going to write about that a) hasn’t already been said or b). is even remotely interesting or c). is new and fresh… Is it just me, or does anyone else out there in blogland have these same questions/doubts ???
Anyhoo… I do enjoy this blogging thing so don’t worry you haven’t lost me just yet! But I can promise you that after the dust has settled on ‘unfurl’ you will definitely hear more from little ole me. If you look over to the right hand margin, I now have th eoption of signing up for (semi) regular newsletters ( you dont want too many do you
and also blog updates to your inbox. SO… Be sure to sign up as that way – you dont even have to navigate to my site – once a week you’ll get them in your inbox to have a quick read, if you like
And better still, I’ll have som edeals only available to my newsletter subscribers too (yes, it is also my intention to get my shop racing along in teh second half of the year as well!)
Well folks, that’s about it for me, I think I’ll call it a night. I have two large 36×36″ paintings to work on tomorrow, a press release, labels for nearly 40 paintings and varnishing and photographing as well…The heat is on!

Totally understand. Great to hear that you are nearly ready for your exhibition, looking foreward to it.
