I’ve been sketching Australian wildflowers lately, and why not? They are beyond doubt the most beautiful and intricate and lovely in all the world. No, I’m not biased at all
I thought I’d try and see what I could come up with by way of a pattern, but instead I could only manage this. But that’s ok, I can see I’m getting better all the time. And best of all, I love it! So obviously, if I’m going to have a go at Australian Wildflowers, then where else to start than the Geraldton Wax?! What do you think! Perhaps a small print in a nice crisp white mat and frame? Please feel free to leave suggestions – or even a challenge! And that may stretch me to do something better! Anyway, here ’tis…
Have a great week, cheers!

I love it!
Oh my, Donna! You have every right to be biased. When we lived in Canberra, we made the trip to WA in October to see all of the wonderful wildflowers. I was in awe and took loads of photos. I tried to photograph every species. It was one of the best trips we ever made.
And I feel proud that as an American I know what a Geraldton Wax is!
I love your sketch. I think it would look lovely framed with a white mat. Keep these sketches coming!
